• Firefox on CBC

Good to see Firefox getting some media coverage, considering it superiority to Internet Explorer and the growing, highly dedicated fan base it has.

Looking forward to Firefox 3. Between Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 8 the two browsers will be taking totally different paths. IE will become more proprietary (of course) by integrating into many of Microsoft’s proprietary products, while Firefox will attempt to be more than a browsers, instead becoming an general Internet tool with many innovative features.

  • Kopete for Google Talk

Due to Google Talk’s lack of support for Linux or Mac users are forced to use the gmail AJAX interface or the flash gadget. Personally I don’t like having them open in my browser and neither of them have the capabilities of an application.

So I decided to see if it was possible to setup Kopete, a common Linux chat program, to work with Google Talk. As I found out it was very simple.

This article describes how to set it up.
